      Questions about Boots, Gloves & Hoods

      What thickness of hood and gloves should I get?

      For diving around Northern Ireland most divers use 5mm to 7mm hoods and 5mm gloves, or dry gloves with a drysuit.

      Do I need boots with open heel fins?

      Yes. Open heel fins are designed to be worn with dive boots, which keep your feet warm and protect them on rocks and boat decks.
